Sol Lewitt’s Wall Drawing No. 652 at the Indianapolis Museum of Art was the backdrop for Lauren and Mike’s beautiful wedding ceremony. Its bright colorful shapes are incorporated in the background of the piece. The bride and groom meet in the middle of the foreground with mirror glass entering from the left side to cover them as their chuppah. Five tuxedo black stiff figures file in behind the groom, and five flowing pinks extend behind the bride, taking a play off David’s figural lessons. White frames the piece to reflect the pure joy and elegance of the day.
