Rolling Out the City Carpet

Rolling Out the City Carpet intertwines broken glass to build energy and reflect the excitement of living in the hustle and bustle of Chicago. The red color throughout the piece symbolizes support for the AIDS and HIV research and care conducted at the Children’s Memorial Hospital and the Children’s Memorial Research Center.

This piece was custom designed for the silent auction at Snowball 2009, a Chicago black tie fundraiser put on by the Junior Council to benefit Children’s Memorial Hospital.

[Stained glass and acrylic paint on wood, 36in. x 18in.]
